In this exercise, I took the original infographic (made with an online program) and recreated it using Photoshop CC. I used the rectangle tool to create the background colors as well as the squares within each section that contain the clipart. Since each "box" actually contains two, I linked and locked those elements together. I added the clipart in new layers and placed them inside these boxes. I then used the rectangle tool to create the square elements in the background and changed the opacity. I used text to add the information about myself as well as the number 4 at the top, and the ellipse tool to create 5 circles that surround the number 4 and locked those together.
Once completed, I then created a new file to create my logo. I centered my name in larger font and surrounded it using the rectangle tool. I filled the rectangle with one color (teal) and outlined with white. Then I surrounded the outside text with the ellipse tool and filled it with brown using a dotted white line. I surrounded that with a second circle of teal with a solid white line.
This exercise allowed me to practice the tools from the first few modules, including color, opacity, locking and linking, resizing, etc, learning and getting better as I tried to recreate as closely as possible something already in existence. Below are the original and recreated infographics as well as my logo.
